Ok, I finally got around to pointing Orion Platinum at my Kontakt Player directory, but now it refuses to load them! Symptoms:

Fire up OPlat (32-bit). Watch PlugChecker run through things fine, until it reaches Kontakt Player DLLs. Win7 then says "PlugChecker has stopped responding" and my options are close the prpogram, or search for a solution then close the program anyway (thanks, Windows). End result? Only BeatBurner shows up in the VST instrument list! Reboot, rescan, same results.

I'll note that Kontakt Player and Kore 2 player both show up fine in Acid..

Is anyone aware of any known issues and/or anything I need to do? I'm trying to move away from Acid, but I need my Kontakt and Kore 2 players...

All help appreciated.

Ok, it's not a bug more than likely, so it must be something I'm doing wrong. Are you doing anything fancy? I know it must be something I've missed somewhere... :-/

Ok, I'll have another go at it tonight when I get home. Maybe I have something stupid set for protections, I thought I followed all the Win7 things to do, but I've been stupid before!!

you might have to add/cgange version numbers...

such as

kontakt 4 16out=1
kontakt 4 8out=1
Kontakt 4=1

I've found if I get a problem vst puting it in a folder seems to do the trick.

W00000000T! Yes, manually editing the vstcfg.txt to add Kontakt 4 and Kore 2 entries did it, I'm on the air with my NI instruments! :-)

Quick FYI - I uad to use the same trick to get the UVI workstation to instal, but once it was done, it works perfectly. Cool beans!

'Add or remove items to speed up first launch and/or if there's problems with the
'auto-detection. This will force Orion to detect the DLLs as you want it.
